Researchers invited to the Collegium de Lyon are exempted from their usual obligations and are thus free to pursue the research project of their choice, either individually or in groups.

In order to encourage exchanges between Fellows from different disciplines and to create a group dynamic, however, a certain number of practices are fixed from the outset:

• During their stay in Lyon, Fellows are supported by a pair of mentors

• Three meals weekly are taken with the group of Fellows

• There is an obligation to produce certain research outcomes
